Ghost story of Iwa is a well-known story based mostly on the actual occasion, referred to as “Yotsuya Kaidan (Ghost Story in Yotsuya)”, later had been made a Kabuki play (classical Japanese dance-drama) by Japanese Dramatist Tsuruya Nanboku (1755 – 1829). An unemployed samurai, Iemon married Iwa, a daughter of a warrior household in search of a person who can succeed their household title.
After the marriage the blissful couple have been quickly anticipating a child. Iwa didn’t care that Iemon was poor, however, as time went on, he turned indignant and depressed about his lack of prospects.
Iemon quickly grew to hate his blissful younger spouse and began an affair with a wealthy younger girl. He romanced her for months and finally, she fell in love with him, regardless of his poverty and the truth that he was already married.
